Powerpoint bar chart not updating dating by site bg
I used the copy from excel and paste into powerpoint as a link and keep source formatting. When I change the graph data and/or scales in excel I don't see any updates in powerpoint.I even tried an old add-in that was listed on some site, but it didn't allow the update to be seen either. Again, I don't see the excel chart updating any information. Not receiving any errors, just not seeing any change in the charts. I have set the links update to automatic and get the prompt, no errors but no visible change in the chart.I've even tried to update the links with vba; but again I don't see any changes. It’s full function without limitation in 60 days, please download and have a free trial now.
If it's a named range, that could conceivably be reasonably clean. My solution has been to make all charts on the active sheet invisible before the change in data, then make them visible again and call chart refresh for good measure. I change a cell value which contains, for example, the date range to base the dashboard on, and the named ranges and UDFs are forced to calculate.
Are there any quick tricks to help you auto update a chart when you add new data to an existing chart range in Excel?
Auto update a chart after entering new data with creating a table Auto update a chart after entering new data with dynamic formula If you have the following range of data and column chart, now you want the chart update automatically when you enter new information.
Do you need more information to even comment on this issue?
The linked excel chart method is Power Point is not well thought out! Copy the chart and in PPT choose Paste Special (Link as Excel chart) You should now have a rightc click option to update and maybe the auto update will also work.
